Almost There

I officially start my vacation at 3:00pm today. Weirdly enough I'm not leaving work right away. I am going start my vacation off right with a Spa treatment in my spa. Did I mention I'm the Sales Manager for the Spa at Charleston Place? Now you know.

Not just for Jelly anymore

Once while volunteering at a BBQ competition, a contestant served their food in a jar. It was a layer of baked beans, a layer of BBQ and a layer of coleslaw. This was garnished with a pickle spear. This was immediately stored in my mental recipe box and I can't wait to use this at a gathering.
Click here on Kitchn's link for multiple ideas and recipes for the plain old Jelly Jar.

Choosing Sides

Don't get me wrong, I love Charleston
I work in a beautiful Hotel which depends solely on Tourism

This being said, there are certain times I wish the tourist and locals had their own lanes while driving on the narrow streets downtown. I saw this on Color Me Katie and laughed out loud. If we had this, then maybe I wouldn't avoid Market Street like the plague.

Photo Board Love

Remember the photo board from my Wedding?

Check out this Sweet little board from You Are My Fave.
I think I need a permanent photo board in my entryway.

Sweet Nothings

Do you have an endearing nickname for your Significant Other?
For the past 3 years, Matt and I call one another 'Babe'. We try to do it with a Boston accent. Recently I've been calling him 'Booger', which isn't much better via

Bottles n' Brushes

Here in Charleston [Mt. Pleasant] there is a magical place called Bottles and Brushes
You are able to bring all of your friends and create a piece of art in one night. It cost $35 and includes artist instruction, a canvas, paint, brushes etc. You can even bring your own snacks, beer and wine. I've already been 3 times and my walls are looking lovely in my home.
This is the next painting I want to do. You send them a picture of your dog and turn it into a paintable image somehow. For a complete Calendar go here to their home page.

Blessed

Just Wrapping up an
Amazing Day Via Camilla Akrans
1) Drank Coffee and ate a Fruit Parfait
2) Deposited Fun Money in my Checking Account
3) Went to the beach where I swam, read, ate watermelon and chased a strangers beach ball
4) Matt joined me at the beach and we daydreamed of owning a beachfront home
5) Came home and took Scout to the dog park- I need to bring my flip next time. She is the most popular dog there
6) Came home and cooked a delicious dinner. Highlight was the basil/tomato salad
7) Now its time for Popsicles and purchasing plane tickets for the summer

America: The Story of Us

Over the past couple weeks Matt and I have DVR'd the History Channels documentary on America.

In the Spirit of Memorial Day, we started the series yesterday. So far its been fantastic and it has made us both insanely proud to be an American.
