My Wedding Hair

For my big day I wore my hair swept to one side. I felt it complimented my dress and how I felt overall on that day.

For the ceremony I borrowed my friends Sara Ruth's lace trimmed veil.

For the reception I switched to a shorter veil with a fun feather piece.

If you're at a crossroads for your wedding hair style ask yourself 3 questions:
1) Does it go with your dress and overall feeling of your wedding?

2) Does it make you feel beautiful?

3) Does it contain more bobby pins than your new husband is willing to remove?

The Irish King's Caramel Corn

I believe Sundays should hold Special Treats.
So today I made my Dad's famous Caramel Corn.

This week in my vegetable bag was an ear of popping corn
which I was so very excited to use.

Here is the recipe:
15 Cups Popped corn
1Cup Brown sugar
1/2 Cup Butter
1/4 Cup Light Karo Syrup
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1) Dump the popped corn into a brown paper bag
2) Heat sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt; stirring occasionally until bubbly around edges.
Continue cooking over medium heat for 5 minutes.
3) Remove from heat; stir in baking soda until foamy.
4) Dump over popped corn. Fold up bag tightly.
5) Place bag in microwave for 1 minute
6) Shake it like you mean it.
7) Enjoy!!!

Blue Angels in Charleston

( Photos Via the Fab Joan Perry)
This past weekend the Blue Angels performed an Air Show over Charleston Harbor.
I was at work but I was able to sneak up to the roof of the hotel for the best view of the city and Harbor I've ever seen.

April Fools

In the spirit of the day I was going to post a picture of a positive pregnancy test for my Facebook status... I decided not too because I know my family would freak out and blow up my phone. Instead I thought I'd do a little history lesson.
Vintage French April Fools Postcard
Did you know in England, jokes are played only in the morning. Fools are called 'gobs' or 'gobby' and the victim of a joke is called a 'noodle.' It was considered bad luck to play a practical joke on someone after noon.
