MMmmmmm... Steamy Oysters

Hey Girls! Yes, I am alive and well.
What's new with all of you? How is 2012 treating you so far? I'm doing great and enjoying everything that Charleston has to offer. I promise, my hiatus is up.

This past weekend, Matt and I went to an oyster roast celebrating our good friends Tripp and Kensey's engagement. It was a beautiful day with even more beautiful people.

The Oyster Roast was held at the Charleston Rifle Club. It has great views of the Ashley river and who doesn't love a long dock??

Glad to be back. Again, I'm sorry for my absence. How can I make it up to you?

Holiday Lights

Last night Matt and I headed over to James Island. We met up with our friends Amber and Jon at J. Paulz and enjoyed some sushi.

Afterwards dinner, Amber and I sprung it on the boys that we were going to the James Island County Park to drive through and see the lights. The boys huffed and puffed but of course we got them there and we all had a great time.

Sorry for the quality of the pics. Matt was driving a little too fast.

Recovering

Hi ladies... Thanks for sticking with me. I've had a lot going on lately. Maybe I'll share it with you someday, but right now I'm in healing mode. Just letting you know that I'm alive and well. :0)

So how was everyone's Thanksgiving? Mine was wonderful. Matt's mom and sister came to visit us. We had a great time and a house full of people. I have better pictures on my regular camera that I'll post later. Til then here are some iPhone pics.

The kids got up from the floor for one second and Scout took over. I love this dog.

It's good to be back. I missed y'all terribly.

Turkey on the Brain

So I have Thanksgiving on my mind. Every year I work on the Holiday and the entire weekend after. This year is no different. However, Matt's family is coming to visit. So of course I want to get everything as prepped as possible for his mom and sister.

The past couple of days I've been making the menu. I would love to add something new to the table this year. I was kind of thinking a savory tart (goat cheese & mushroom) or maybe some roasted brussel sprouts.

So let me ask you. What are your must have Thanksgiving table foods? I'm looking for some inspiration.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I also hope my husband has dinner ready for me once I get home from work.
